Saturday 14th June - Mixed Doubles Tournament |

Despite the torrential downpour once the courts dried out we had a friendly, yet competitive, American style, mixed doubles tournament.
As only four and a half pairs turned out we invited the youngsters to play on one court to give the adults a rest between games. We played 3 rounds with Jo Harris coming out as Champion, dropping only one game all afternoon. Charlie was the highest scoring of the men.
The younger members of the Club put the adults to shame with their energy, enthusiasm and the quality of their play. Stuart says: “ Everyone tried really hard and we had some great games. I enjoyed playing with everyone except my brother.”
Most of the junior games were very closely contested, but Caty and Fraser were the overall Champions of the day.
Thanks go to everyone who came along to make it another successful and enjoyable afternoon, especially Paula for the scoring and Carol and Gary for their hospitality afterwards.
Hope to see more of you members at the Mens and Ladies Singles on Saturday 28th June.
