1st Wolds Scouts

Hello I am Will Ashpole from First Wolds Scouts. I have been with this group since Beavers.

Beavers is good to get you started and familiar with the basic equipment and how it all works and why it is useful in the outdoors. They also teach you the laws of scouts and camping.

Then after Beavers you have Cubs which helps you with the equipment that you looked at in Beavers. In Cubs they help you to work the equipment and how to put tents up. They show you how to use a penknife and other useful equipment. You are likely to play some games and sports.

In Cubs and Scouts there is a five aside football tournament where different groups come to play each other.

After Cubs you have Scouts where you start using the equipment on your own. You put up tents in your patrol which is a group that you work with. Other activities we do include bike rides, shooting, remote controlled car nights, swimming, rock climbing. The camps we do are really superb: we do raft building, canoeing and lots of other activities. This year we are going to Kandersteg in Switzerland where we will do rafting and biking and all sorts of fun activities.
