Beavers are our youngest group, aged from about 6 to 8 and half years old. Beavers get up to all sorts of things - from crafts to hikes to the occasional sleepover. Visist to the Mayor's office, Fire Station and a Blacksmiths have been arranged. There are girls and boys and we are very keen on doing badges! We also take part in District activities like swimming galas and football competitions. We have four Lodges called Birds, Snakes, Rabbits and Hedgehogs. Beavers can win points for their Lodge which go towards the Best Lodges Shield. We encourage Beavers to try all games and activities so they can find out what they enjoy best. We try to help each Beaver do the best they can in what ever they do.
The Uniform for Beavers is a turquoise sweatshirt, navy trousers, black shoes and necker. You can also have a polo shirt for the summer. Use the web-link to the Scout to view the items. The necker is provided by the section when the Beaver is invested.
Parents help with activities on a rota basis and as such, need to complete a CRB form. There is a waiting list for places so please contact the leaders if you wish to be put on it.
