Supported Self Help

National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines for depression and anxiety recommend the provision of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) based guided self-help interventions. Guided self-help involves working through exercises and activities in your own time. The aim is to help you sort out your feelings and any difficulties you are experiencing. I offer a flexible service of 30 minute sessions where we will identify your goals and collaborate on setting between session tasks. The tasks will primarily be based upon solution focused experiments with supporting CBT exercises.  The interval between sessions is at your discretion.
